Ohio State football team may No. 4 in BCS rankings, but Buckeyes band is clearly No. 1

FROM KEITH GROLLER

As most people know, I love marching bands and believe they play a very big role in making high school and college football games two of the greatest things in American sports.
Locally, I admire the Liberty High Grenadier Band as much as any area football team. They are an absolute delight, year after year. Easton, Freedom and Parkland are all very good, too..
But on the collegiate level, Ohio State has got to be No. 1.
The networks like ESPN who cover college football should stop going to studio shows when Ohio State is being televised, and show the band.
Guaranteed, this spectacular show would be much more appreciated than hearing a bunch of talking heads ramble on and on about Urban Meyer's defense or the Buckeyes turnover ratio.
This show, which lasts less than nine minutes, is absolutely breathtaking.
Whether you like Ohio State or not, you've got to love this band and this performance on Saturday night.
