High School Boys Basketball: Holiday tournament review

We won't change them at this point no matter what happened in the holiday tournaments because everybody plays different competition and teams that went 0-2 -- and there were a few -- might have played much more difficult foes than teams that went 2-0. But here's how the teams in the Lehigh Valley Conference fared in order of how they were ranked last week: 1. Liberty (5-2) -- lost to Rancocas Valley 53-50, lost to Archbishop Carroll 59-55. 2. Easton (6-2) -- lost to Wilson 50-49, defeated Phillipsburg 55-32. 3. Freedom (4-4) -- lost to St. Pallotti 65-58, lost to Coatesville 58-54. 4. Parkland (7-1) -- defeated Quakertown 72-31, defeated Salisbury 60-52. 5. Emmaus (4-4) -- lost to McKeesport 62-50, lost to Pittsburgh CC 62-60. 6. Allen (4-3) -- beat Neshaminy 44-37, lost to GAR of Wilkes-Barre 66-57. 7. Central Catholic (7-2) -- beat Columbia 78-50, beat Elizabethtown 76-58. 8. Nazareth (4-3) -- lost to Honesdale 52-47, will play in tournament consolation game on Sunday night. 9. Whitehall (4-4) -- lost to North Hunterdon 73-51, defeated Faith Christian 54-28. 10. Bethlehem Catholic (4-4) -- defeated Southwestern 62-53, defeated York Catholic 68-38. 11. Dieruff (2-6) -- defeated Francis Lewis of NYC 71-58, lost to Stroudsburg 67-44. 12. Northampton (1-6) -- defeated Catasauqua 54-51 in single game.
