Jim Rome Jumps to CBS Sports Radio

http://sportsmediajournal.com/ Since Jim Rome moved his television program Rome to the CBS Sports Network and CBS announced it would be launching a national radio network, there was talk of Rome bringing his radio show with him to CBS. That talk became reality today as CBS announced that The Jim Rome Show will have a new home on CBS Sports Radio. The Jim Rome Show will air on the CBS Sports Radio Network from 12:00p.m. to 3:00p.m. ET beginning January 2nd. Rome will also contribute daily commentary as part of the network’s CBS Sports Minute. Rome will also provide commentary for CBS Sports and CBS Sports.com. He will also be hosting a talk series for Showtime, which will air later this Fall on the premium network. “Jim would be at the top of any list highlighting sports radio’s most authoritative and opinionated hosts which is exactly why we’re thrilled to welcome him to CBS Sports Radio,” said Dan Mason, President and CEO, CBS RADIO. “We are building a network that showcases the incredible assets of CBS RADIO and CBS Sports, and creating a strategic opportunity for growth in this untapped marketplace.
