http://sportsmediajournal.com/ Heather Cox Named ESPN Saturday Night College Football on ABC Sideline Reporter- ESPN today made the official announcement that Heather Cox will serve as the sideline reporter on ESPN’s Saturday Night College Football contests on ABC. Cox joins Brent Musburger and analyst Kirk Herbstreit each week on broadcast television’s first weekly prime time college football series. Cox has also signed a multiyear extension with the network where she will continue to work college football, men’s and women’s basketball, NBA and WNBA telecasts across various ESPN outlets. White Sox/Tigers on Sunday Night Baseball- This weekend’s Sunday Night Baseball telecast on ESPN will feature an A.L. Central battle between the Chicago White Sox and the Detroit Tigers. Dan Shulman, Terry Francona, Orel Hirshiser and reporter Buster Olney have the call on ESPN2 beginning at 8:00p.m. ET. Sunday Night Baseball will also be available on ESPN Radio (with Jon Sciambi and Chris Singleton), ESPN Deportes, ESPN Mobile TV and WatchESPN. Orioles/Yankees of Sunday MLB on TBS- The New York Yankees host the Baltimore Orioles on this weekend’s Sunday MLB on TBS telecast. Brian Anderson and Dennis Eckersley have the call beginning at 1:00p.m. ET. NFL Network Changes Time of Debut of America’s Game: 2011 New York Giants- The NFL Network announced today a time change in the debut of America’s Game: 2011 New York Giants. Originally the program was to air Tuesday, September 4th at 10:00p.m. ET. The time is now changed to 9:00p.m. ET. At 10:00p.m. ET Rich Eisen and analysts Steve Mariucci, Marshall Faulk, Kurt Warner, Warren Sapp and Michael Irvin preview the upcoming 2012 NFL regular season and breakdown each division team by team on NFL GameDay Morning Season Preview. NBC Converts NBC Olympics Live Extra App to NBC Sports Live Extra App- NBC announced that the NBC Olympics Live Extra app has been re-branded as NBC Sports Live Extra app. The new app will live stream an abundance of live sporting events that air on NBC, NBC Sports Network or Golf Channel, including MLS, NHL, Notre Dame Football, PGA TOUR,LPGA, European PGA TOUR, Ryder Cup and more, with the vast majority of content only available to TV Everywhere customers. NBA D-League Action to be Telecast on CBS Sports Network- The CBS Sports Network (CBSSN) announced that it has secured the rights to televise the NBA Development League this season. CBSSN will televise 12 live regular-season games, including two from the 2013 NBA D-League Showcase, as well as 2013 NBA D-League Playoffs and Finals action. HBO Boxing After Dark This Weekend- HBO Sports will be producing double header as part of its Boxing After Dark Series this weekend. Bob Papa, Max Kellerman and Roy Jones Jr. will be ringside for Gennady Golovkin vs. Grzegorz Proksa and Sergiy Dzinziruk vs. Jonathan Gonzalez Saturday at 9:45 p.m. ET.
