Another Keith Jones Comes To Town

Jones will co-anchor NBC10 News Today (M-F 4:30-7:00 a.m.) with NBC10′s Lori Wilson. In addition to his anchoring duties, he will file reports for NBC10 News. Jones joins NBC10 from WTAE, the ABC affiliate in Pittsburgh, PA, where he spent two years as a reporter and anchor. Prior to that, he fulfilled the same role at WHSV in Harrisonburg, VA. During his tenure as morning news anchor at WHSV, the station was awarded ‘Best Morning News Show’ by the Virginia Association of Broadcasters. He previously worked at NBC10 as a college intern while attending Villanova University. “We’re excited to welcome Keith back to NBC10 as part of our on-air team,” said Eric Lerner, President & General Manager of NBC10 Philadelphia. “He has an enthusiasm and energy that our viewers will respond well to.” Jones has distinguished himself as a solid reporter, covering stories including the dedication of the Flight 98 Memorial in Shanksville, the contentious 2010 Pennsylvania Governor’s race, and the trial of former Penn State assistant coach Jerry Sandusky. “I’m thrilled to be joining the team at NBC10,” said Jones, “I look forward to returning home and covering the important stories that affect the community I grew up in.” Jones earned a bachelor’s degree in communications and minors in philosophy and journalism from Villanova.
