Shakespeare Festival annual gala, begins at 6 p.m. June 2 in the University Center at DeSales University in Center Valley. The "evening of elegance and radiance" includes dinner, silent and special auctions, and entertainment by company members, including Broadway headliners William Michals and Dee Roscioli. The event also includes the presentation of the Will Shakespeare Award to this year's honoree, Joan Moran of Allentown. Attire is black-tie optional or "luminescent white." New this year, attendees can be seated with an professional actor from the company. Cost is $175 per person; $1,400 for a table of 8; $1,750 for a table of 10. RSVP deadline May 18. GARDEN GALA: The Good Shepherd Gala in the Garden will be held 6-11 p.m. June 2 in the Healing Gardens on Good Shepherd's south Allentown campus. This event benefits the Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Hospital Pediatric Unit. Food and beverage, fun and fellowship are the hallmark of this event where guests don black tie and sneakers/fun footwear attire. Entry fee is $250 per person and $2,500 for a table of eight. ARTFUL CAUSE: The first "I Believe" Art Gala starts at 6 p.m. June 2 at ArtsQuest Center at SteelStacks. The event features a sports art exhibit by artist Edgar J. Brown, a meet-and-greet with celebrity athletes, live music and magician performance, hors d'oeuvres and drink. Guests receive a swag bag and signed limited edition Edgar J. Brown print.
