Philly Pretzel Factory to offer freebies Thursday for National Pretzel Day

http://www.lehighvalleylive.com/food/index.ssf/2012/04/philly_pretzel_factory_to_offe.html FROM THE EXPRESS TIMES Celebrate National Pretzel Day with a soft pretzel in hand. On Thursday, several Lehigh Valley branches of Philly Pretzel Factory will offer each customer a free pretzel to commemorate the day. In addition, the first 100 customers in line at each store will receive a voucher for a free pretzel every day for the month of May, according to a news release. Brent Schadler, owner/operator of the Palmer Township store, says they've been participating in the promotion since their store opened in February 2008. "We get a lot of 'Is that a real holiday?'" Schadler jokes. Schadler also is a partner in the West Allentown store on Tilghman Street, with Jeff Shaedle. Schadler says the day is a good way to promote the business and their product, which is made from scratch, on premises every day. "It's something people really seem to enjoy," Schadler adds. The franchise, which operates 120 stores, will also be featured on "Undercover Boss" Friday on CBS at 8 p.m. Dan DiZio, CEO and co-founder of Philly Pretzel Factory, will visit different locations in disguise. Schadler says the show does not feature the Lehigh Valley stores. Philly Pretzel Factory locations: 5924 Tilghman St., Allentown Palmer Town Centre, 665 S. 25th St., Palmer Township 302 Hanover Ave., Bldg A, Suite 6, Allentown
