Simon Leaves PBS39 for New Opportunities

Bethlehem, PA -- Jamie P. Musselman, the Chair of the Board of PBS39 announced today that Patricia Simon, President and CEO of PBS39 and its affiliates, has decided to leave the Station to pursue other opportunities now that the PBS39 Public Media and Education Center at SteelStacks is complete.

"We thank Pat for her service and direction these past 10 years. PBS39 is well positioned to continue to grow in its new telecommunications facility. We are committed to bringing the best in local production to the Lehigh Valley and to increasing the impact of the PBS programming and message to our market area."

Ms. Simon began with PBS39 in 2002 at which time the company was headquartered at the tip of Lehigh University's campus on South Mountain. PBS39 is now located in its new 29,228 sq. ft. broadcast facility at SteelStacks in Bethlehem, PA.

Timothy S. Fallon has been named acting CEO while the Board of Directors undertakes a search for the new President. Mr. Fallon has been instrumental since October 2009 in the planning, financing and building of PBS39 at SteelStacks. Additionally, he served as Chairman of PBS39 from 2002 to 2004 and has been involved with the organization since 1995.
