#Lehigh wins it; Barket has 4 TDs in 45-25 victory over #Colgate

FROM KEITH GROLLER

3:22 p.m.

Lehigh has won it 45-25 and improves to 7-1 overall, 2-0 in the league with three home games left, starting with Holy Cross a week from today. But if Georgetown beats Holy Cross today, and Hoyas were leading, the championship game might be in two weeks when Georgetown comes to Goodman.

3:19 p.m.

A Jon Littlejohn pick has pretty much sealed the deal here at Hamilton. Lehigh is up 20 with 2 minutes left. Another impressive offensive performance by Lehigh to be sure.

3:16 p.m.

A Lum TD pass to Jake Drwal makes it 45-25 withy 4:08 to play and Lehigh is going to improve to 7-1. Lehigh has 483 yards of offense and has scored 40 points or more for the third time this season. What a show -- again.

3:11 p.m.

Lehigh gets the ball back after stopping Colgate on downs. 5:34 left and ahead 39-25, this one looks like another Lehigh win.

3:01 p.m.

Barket's fourth TD of the day -- he has two on receptions and two on carries -- has Lehigh up 39-25 with 7:40 left. One stop by the Lehigh defense and this one will be pretty much over.

2:55 p.m.

Colvin keeps on fourth-and-short for another Lehigh first down. Mountain Hawks have it at Colgate 24, under 9 minutes.

2:52 p.m.

Lehigh facing a third and five at the Colgate 31, leading by six. Just 10:04 left, and we're in another lengthy delay.
2:42 p.m.

A 20-yard TD run by Nate Eachus has Colgate back in it. Lehigh still leads 31-25 with 14 minutes left, but needs a scoring drive here.

2:33 p.m.

A Divers field goal has extended Lehigh's lead to 31-18 after three quarters.

2:23 p.m.

Colgate just got a TD pass to Nate Eachus, but the 2-point conversion failed, so the Mountain Hawks still lead by double-digits, 28-18 with under three minutes left in the third quarter.

2:07 p.m.

Another Barket touchdown caps a beautiful drive to start the second half for Lehigh and it's now a 28-12 game with 6:49 left in the third quarter.

1:59 p.m.

After a big sack by Northampton grad Billy Boyko stops Colgate's first drive of the second half, Lehigh is again on the move after a big Barket run. This is the right weather for a Zach attack.

1:27 p.m.

Crisp TD drive by Lehigh answers the Colgate FG and extends lead to 21-12 with 50 seconds left in the half. Lum hit Barket for the score. Lehigh offense now up to 252 total yards, 138 in the air.

1:19 p.m.

A 42-yard field goal by Uglietto has trimmed the Lehigh lead to 14-12 with 3:40 left in this length first half. Lehigh has chance to extend lead before halftime.

1:07 p.m

After an exchange of turnovers, Lehigh had a second chance at scoring opportunity, but Colvin stopped short on fourth down run. Colgate has momentum with 6:01 left in the half..

12:58 p.m.

A spectacular TD catch by Colgate's Chris Looney on a play covering 18 yards, has allowed the Raiders to trim Lehigh's lead to 14-9. PAT kick wide.

12:46 p.m.

The huge scoreboard here at the north end of Andy Kerr Stadium has a big video screen and each team's offensive yardage totals. So far, it's looking good for Lehigh.

12:44 p.m.

Zach Barket, predicted to have a big day by me, just broke off a 39-yard TD run on the first play of the second period and Lehigh had upped its lead over Colgate to 14-3.

12:40 p.m.

The first quarter is over here with Lehigh leading 7-3 and on the move at the Colgate 39. Lehigh showing the versatility of its own with Lum spreading the ball to people like Jamel Haggins and Sergio Fernandez-Soto.

12:27 p.m.

Lehigh comes right back, going 63 yards on four plays to take the lead. Zach Barket had a pair of double-digit runs and then QB Chris Lum hit tight end Jamel Haggins on back-to-back pass plays, the second going for 33 yards to a touchdown. Lehigh leads 7-3 with 4:23 left in the first.

12:20 p.m.

Colgate just finished a nice 14-play drive, moving 67 yards and taking 6:25 off the clock to take the lead on a 30-yard field goal by Joe Uglietto. Colgate 3-0 with 6:01 left in the first period.

12:08 p.m.

Lehigh got a nice kickoff return and then a first down, but had to punt. Colgate ball at its 20 with 12:26 left in the first period.

12 p.m.

Teams coming on to the field. Nice game program they have here. As someone who admires Nate Eachus ever since he played at Hazleton, I am happy to see him on the cover. A collector's item for sure.

11:50 a.m.

All set here in the pressbox at Andy Kerr Stadium on the campus of Colgate University here in Hamilton, N.Y. A sparse crowd on hand so far for this Patriot League contest. Hardly anyone on the home side. I guess an 0-2 start in the league will do that to attendance. That and a bad weather forecast. So far, though, no snow. Cloudy and cold, yes, but no rain or snow. This is Lehigh's final road game of the season and the Mountain Hawks, 6-1, need this one to go into November with momentum.
