Today's Little League Baseball World Series Championship Game, scheduled for a noon start, will not begin until 3 p.m., it was announced by Little League International.

“We are anticipating a 3 p.m. Eastern U.S. Time start, depending of course upon the weather,” Lance Van Auken, Vice President of Communications, said. “It appears the end of the rain is near, and we believe the surface of Lamade Stadium will be ready if that is the case.”

Ocean View Little League from Huntington Beach, Calif., the United States Champion, is scheduled to play International Region Champion, Japan, represented by Hamamatsu Minami Little League, at Lamade Stadium for the 2011 Little League Baseball World Series Championship.

The game is scheduled to be televised live on ABC.

Little League International will continue to provide updates as warranted.
