Stockertown teenager allegedly impersonated a police officer

FROM THE EXPRESS TIMES

A Stockertown teenager alleged used a white car and red and blue flashing lights to pull another driver over July 1 in Lower Nazareth Township, Colonial Regional police said.

Christopher Franczak, 19, of the first block of Main Street, will be charged via summons with impersonating a public servant and disorderly conduct.

Police said a man was delivering newspapers on Brandywine Road in the township when he saw a white car with flashing lights pull up behind him.

The victim pulled over to the side of the road, and was ordered by the other driver to turn off his vehicle and get out, police said.

When the victim got out of the car he noticed the white car not a police car, but the the white car sped away, police said.

The victim followed the white car and was able to get the license plate, which the victim called into police.

A short time later police saw the white car and stopped it, identifying Franczak as the driver, police said.

Franczak admitted stopping the car and ordering the victim out, but denied using flashing lights, police said.
