Roger Latzgo Tonight at the Nazareth Arts Center

Friday, June 24, 2011 | 8:00 - 9:30 p.m.

Singer/guitarist Roger Latzgo's musical program SOLSTICE! Builds on generations of celebrating this longest of days with song. His festive world music has playfully been called ethnofunkology, a jazz-influenced sound based on folk traditions. "I come from a family of farmers and winemakers, so that's how I relate to life-through the seasons of the garden," says Latzgo. "What better way to share it than through song?" Featured on the program will be his composition "Song of the Solstice" as well as music from three solo CDs. Latzgo, who resides in Germansville Pa., has been performing world music since 1968. He's received an International Angel Award for "Best Composer".
