With Lehigh Valley flavor, Saint Joseph's finishes second in A-10 tourney

FROM KEITH GROLLER

Disappointed that the Lehigh Valley Conference softball playoffs were postponed on Monday.

I would like to see all of the games in both leagues and now that's going to be impossible since both semis are slated for Tuesday night -- LVC at Parkland, Colonial League still at Pates.

In college softball news, Saint Joseph's finished second in the Atlantic 10 tournament.

The Hawks feature Shannon Kramer from Northampton, Deanna Stinner from Parkland and Alaina Loguidice from Liberty and are coached by Allen High graduate Terri Adams. (That's how they are, left to right, on the photo below). Loguidice, a past Morning Call player of the year, made the all-tournament team.

St. Joe's (31-16) lost to Fordham 4-0 in the Atlantic 10 championship game on Saturday in Charlotte. Fordham earned the league's automatic NCAA berth and is going to the University Park regional hosted by Penn State.
