Pen Argyl Area High School athletic director Dwight Repsher is stepping down

FROM THE EXPRESS TIMES

Dwight Repsher is retiring after 35 years as a teacher, coach and athletic director in the Pen Argyl Area School District.

Repsher, a 1971 Pen Argyl graduate, confirmed this afternoon that his final day will be June 13.

"Pen Argyl was a great place to grow up, coach and teach," said Repsher, 58. "It's a special place. Everybody in Pen Argyl has always been great to me. The people have been terrific. Fifteen years (as A.D.) is a pretty long time anymore."

Repsher has served the last 15 years as the school's athletic director. He still teaches German at the school and was head boys basketball coach from 1978-86.

He said if requested, he will stay around to help train the new athletic director, when his replacement is announced.
