LIBRARY TEEN PROGRAM

Like reading, talking, and eating? Then Literary Lunches are for you!

Lunches are at 12 noon on Tuesdays in July for teens ages 13-17. Books and lunch are provided!!


You need to register for the lunches - space is limited.


· July 6 An Abundance of Katherines by John Green

o After he is dumped for the nineteenth time by a girl named Katherine, Colin sets off on a road trip with his best friend to find a new direction in life, while trying to create a mathematical formula to explain his relationships.

· July 13 What I Saw and How I Lied by Judy Blundell

o In 1947, with her jovial stepfather Joe back from the war and family life returning to normal, teenage Evie, smitten by the handsome young ex-GI who seems to have a secret hold on Joe, finds herself caught in a complicated web of lies whose devastating outcome change her life and that of her family forever.

· July 20 Scrambled Eggs at Midnight by Brad Barkley & Heather Hepler

o Calliope and Eliot, two fifteen-year-olds in Asheville, North Carolina, begin to acknowledge some unpleasant truths about their parents and form their own ideas about love.

· July 27 Singing the Dogstar Blues by Alison Goodman

o In a future Australia, the saucy eighteen-year-old daughter of a famous newscaster and a sperm donor teams up with a hermaphrodite from the planet Choria in a time travel adventure that may significantly change both of their lives.

2. Pick up a book tally sheet at the main library desk beginning on June 14 or print

out a tally sheet online from www.nazarethlibrary.org/srp2010/tchallenge.html

3. Track the books you read on your tally sheet.

4. Bring your tally sheet into the library to be entered to WIN!
